The 96 and 98 vintages should be drinking nicely now. What are the recommended chateaux to look into buying that are ~$60/bottle?

Should have purchased more of the 97 Angelus at $59.99... missed the opportunity from another reputable on-line merchant last week at $54.99 (acted late and all sold out a few days ago

) Don't want to miss the boat again on the 96 & 98 vintages at decent prices...

If you're looking to drink now, stay away from the 96 Ch. Duhart-Milon. Very green.

1998 Troplong Mondot.

Great wine and can be had for $59.95USD.

Can't go wrong considering 1998 was a top St. Emilion vintage and the 2005 TM is $180+ per bottle on futures.

I haven't had many, but I really liked the 1998 Pichon Baron (bought for €38) and the 1998 Malescot St.-Exupéry (€45).
