Glassware for Chateau d'Yquem

I use my Chardonnay/Chablis stems for Sauternes and they seem to do just fine. That being said, these stems aren't that expensive and it certainly would show your staff/guests that you're doing everything you can to enhance the experience. What will you offer the d'Yquem for on your winelist?

I have the very glass you are suggesting, and cannot recommend it highly enough. They are absolutely terrific glasses for this purpose.

We use the Riedel Ice Wine stems both here in the restaurant and also at the winery tasting bar. While we do not pour a Sauterne they are perfect for the dessert wines we to feature. I feel the Chardonnay stems have a larger rim than some, as I perfer a smaller rim and taller bowl for dessert wines. A Riesling glass would work fine and I have used the Riedel Sauvignon Blanc glass as well.

There are the Riedel Sommelier Sauternes glasses out there as well. I'm getting at least one before I pop my D'Yquem's.

I use either ice wine glasses or small Chardonnay glasses. I think either works as well as the other.

I use Eiswein glasses as well.

I use the Riedel Vinum Extreme and Ive been very happy with them.

i like the small chard glasses cuz they let you do a little swirling ...

I also have a big snozz and i hate it w hen the sides of my nose gets coated with wine, esp with small ice wine glasses. It usually attracts bees and you end up with a swelled up sticky nose.
