That was cool. Of all our friends that have dogs, it seems that a higher percentage of theem are rescues.
Thanks for that,it made my night!
Thank you for sharing the joys of all animals.
Awesome!
all my dogs have been rescues, in one form or another.

Saw this bumper sticker on a rescue shelter's vehicle:
"Who rescued who?"
Pretty cool.

I hope this doesn't sound snobbish, and I am in no way critiquing anyone on here that has rescued- I think it's great. My first dog was a rescue. But I get kinda tired of hearing from "Rescuers" (especially in SF) how there are so many dogs in shelters and that I should be ashamed for going the breeder route.
My retort- depending on how full of themselves they are- is usually: "I did search the shelter, but I have yet to find an AKC champion Akita with her temperament, but keep me posted if you come across one."
Or, if they have children: "So what orphanage did you rescue those kids from? With all of the children in foster homes longing for a loving home, you should be ashamed of yourself for procreating."
Both are good at getting the other person to shut up.

My response to a random stranger feeling the need to say that to me would be much shorter: "Go F&ck yourself"
I like your style, snipes!

Thanks Board-O! DomnVin loved it (as did I).
I went to the local shelter, but all they had were pit bulls.

Something like 94% of dogs in LA county shelters are pit or pit mix. It was just a waste of time when we were looking to get a dog.
While the pit and pit mix is a problem in the central valley, Chihuahas (sp?) are the much bigger problem!
