Noticed that my blue alligator strap is leaving an unsightly blue stain on my shirt cuffs. This is not due to perspiration, but just the strap rubbing against the cuff.

Have others encountered such a problem? How have you dealt with it?

TIA.

This absolutely, positively should not be happening. Have it brought in and replaced.

Thanks TPE. It is the strap that came with my Patek - it is lovely but the residual stain is highly annoying. I'll take your advice!

+1 ... I'm shocked.

Well, I finally pulled the trigger again. Just bought a new Chopard Mile Miglia Gran Turismo XL Power Reserve. Also considering a Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Chronograph with ivory face and blue hands - simply love the look of this one.

Where’s the evil laugh emoticon? I’m wearing my Mille Miglia today as well. Don’t you love it when I’m having a slow day at work and keep sending you ideas? Does Solaris have the UN in stock for you to try on?

You clearly are the worst influence ever. My bank account is rather unhappy with you right now.

Solaris is closing I think, but I haven't gone over there to check yet. I think Royal de Versailles has it and I'm checking Humbertown too.

But your wrist likes me! And closings mean closing sales!

Humbertown is an exceedingly dangerous place.

I'm actually not sure which emotion to choose here.

Thanks mangiare. No intentions on buying there, just looking at a spot where I might be able to try it on and I think they're the only dealer in Toronto.

I've had a few Panerai though the only one I still have is a 111 which my wife wears daily. I have to say the 44mm is, to me, much more comfortable than the 1950 case. I had a 127 when they first came out (which I wish I had kept!) but it was too big for my wrist by a fair margin. Unless you have your dress shirts made with it in mind, they probably won't fit over it (if that's a consideration, either because you don't wear dress shirts or you think a watch like that shouldn't be worn with one...).

A 1950 47mm case with an automatic would also be a big weight on your arm. Then again, while I like the 8 day movement, it is really boring from the display back side. It's really just a 111 with a better movement. Save the money and get a 111.

Rob, thanks for your insights. I am not concerned about the size withd ress shirts - I manage with my Corum Bubble XL, so this can't be any worse than that watch.

One question: 47mm? I was under the impression all 3 of the models being discussed (including your 111) were 44mm. Am I mistaken? The PAM website indicates 44mm.
