Look for wines from Klaus Zimmerling. Excellent quality from the Saxony region that you cannot find in the US.

My father and his parents were from Vienna. It's alot friendlier now than it was in 1938.

Thanks. We went to a little wine bar that specialized in wines from Württemberg. Nice little place
2020 J Stavek Bodro. First Czech red wine. Was actually quite good with an excellent dinner. First attempt to have Czech red was a fail as the wine bar we went to only had French. Quel Dommage,
2015 Le Vieux Pin Syrah Cuvée Violette (Okanagan). Co-fermented with 1 percent Roussanne. Have enjoyed this wine on a number of occasions. Showing very well now, but will continue to improve with age.
Lovely wine, from one of Canada's best Syrah producers. Gold medal from the 2017 National Wine Awards of Canada.

I would never think to go to a Spanish wine bar in Vienna when Austria makes so many great wines.

6 years ago we had lunch at Villa Richter which is an urban vineyard and winery just below the Prague Castle. Wonderful lunch and the wines were decent.

Why not, I drink french wines when i'm in America =D
Had an excellent Blaufränkisch at an all Czech wine bar with only natural wines. When wandering a freezing city, wine bar beckons. What they have is secondary
Exclusively Austrian wines since we have been in Vienna
