Hunter, weren't you sick not long ago? Don't we build up antibodies, immunity? Where is Bella when I need her. heh heh Seriously, I hope you feel better soon!
Wiz, 131. That's the lowest I've ever heard of. Are you translucent? jk Glad you got a clean bill...
Cheese-filled tortellini, salad, '99 Caprai Sagrantino de Montefalco.
Beef tenderloin wrapped 'round asparagus, fontina, and portabellos. No wine. Food was delicious but won't make the no vino mistake again. Meal felt naked.

Oh... you've never seen the discussions about Philly Cheesesteaks btwn. me, PH and futronic?
At Pat's... the original Philly cheesesteak, it's the correct way to order if you want a cheesesteak w/ onions and cheese whiz (the original way). If you want provolone without onions, you'd say "Provolone without". Get it?
Being "the original" doesn't make it better!

Lots of oatmeal and grape juice will bring that sucker down

Perhaps I should have kept that part of the physical to myself.

Bella Donna's food posts can be just as grisly as WW's description of his colon exam.

OK, in the context of the other posts, I can figure out what the R and E must stand for, but I'm completely stumped by the D. What IS it? Dilated? Drafty? Donut? Dirty? Dreckish? What??
Dinner tonight is mainly salmon and carmelized onion risotto (leftover grilled Sockeye from last night), '04 Tohu Sauv Blanc.
Ok, I think you're joking. But, I'll bite. It's not analog, it's...quote:I'm completely stumped by the D. What IS it? Dilated? Drafty? Donut? Dirty? Dreckish? What??
A combo plate from the local Italian joint. (Nasty weather here tonight. We're staying in.) Would someone please tell me where in Dallas one can get a decent Philly cheesesteak? I'm dying for one.

Now I get it. In retrospect, I should have been able to fingure it out, but I guess I just wasn't thinking in that direction.
We'd make a heck of a Password team, though.

Things are settling down with business and I am slowly starting to cook again. Today's stop at Polarica produced a dozen of Muscovy duck legs, a package of six b/o quails, 5 poussins, 2 squabs and a duck, all fresh. I'll do squabs tonight, my cholesterol has been kind of too low lately.
Ahhh ..Hunter it wasn't a colon exam. The doc does the rubber glove thing to feel the prostate. I suspect you have never had this done. It's quite refreshing. NOT!
DoktaP, basecadet, and I are in DoktaP's truck on the way to Ottawa eating roasted turkey sandwiches on pumpernickel with 24-month Asiago cheese.

What are you drinking?
I've been craving a steak all week. Tonight, grilled (it hasn't rained for over a week here!

Bella,
I thought the flattened tube steaks were your specialty?

I've been craving a steak all week. Tonight, grilled (it hasn't rained for over a week here!) strip loins, Uruguayan free-range beef, with roasted potatoes and grilled asparagus, Ceasar salad, and a bottle of '89 Grand Puy Lacoste.
I can't tell from this post who is drinking the Grand Puy Lacoste, futronic or Seaquam? Whoever is drinking it, will you please post a note. I've got 3 sleeping and am dying to know how it's doing. Thanks in advance.
PH
I'm planning to drink it.
But if DoktaP is any kind of a driver at all, he and futronic would make it here in time to share it with me.
Can you tell who's grilling the strip loins?

Friday, grilled NY strips while the weather is still clear and cold, and a couple of good Aussie reds-- '02 Shotfire Ridge Quartage (losing intensity quite quickly, time to drink these up), and '01 Rosemount Traditional (drinking well, excellent wine, about 92-3 pts).
Last night, ordered in Szechuan: General Tao's chicken, fresh prawns with assorted vegetables, hot & sour soup, and washed it down with the real king of beers-- Unibroue Maudite. Great match, great beer.
It appears that SOMEONE is having alot of chicken lately...could the origin of such chickens be from...well...uhum...shall we say...the Pacific Northwest, perhaps?

So, like, what are you SAYing?

Well, if that doc had REALLY long fingers you might've gotten a 2-fer. And I think that given the threads flying around here this weekend, it was entirely appropriate for you to share that part of your exam.
Tri-tip
Cucumber and tomato with rice vinegar.
Diced Avocadoe.
Rice with garlic.
I am going to attempt drinking my Syrah/Malbec blend with this.

My brother is an offling. Last night he turned himself into Satan.
He wasn't invited to dinner, but last night we had roasted Sockeye salmon fillets with mushrooms, mild Morrocan-style rice pilau, sautéd green beans, and a bottle of '02 Sea Smoke PN Botella (drinking better than the last time I had it).
We`re upgrading tonight`s supper to bacon sandwiches now. Going for 3/3!

Chicken and brats on the grill, rain be damned....
Grilled salmon fillet that went wonderfully with a humble 1993 Latour Beaune Burg.
Seaquam, what's up, bro? I'm jealous. Your sockeye is too good for me?
