we had two bottles at dame frankie's b-day back in july, and it was not decanted long enough IMO. but mine was not entirely closed down. i'm now out of 97 guado, but i have some 96 left, which IW didn't think was shut down, may have to have that.

and thanks on the sangio 97 closedown, i'm assuming you're talking the supers. my 97 CC's haven't really closed down. just had one this week and it seemed fine.

jaime: that is cool. and glad yours are drinking well. i got mine from winexchange on the web, got three bottles. still sitting on two. how long did you decant?

Frankie, 1 hour of decanting really brought out the wine. It is currently my favorite wine to have with duck.

Favorite Italians, eh...... hmmmmmmm...... I guess I will have to say Joe Pantoliano and most of the cast of the Sopranos.

Also, don't forget about Calisto Tanzi, Parmalat's founder and CEO and also Parmalat's chief financial officer Fausto Tonna. These guys are screwed!
