I'm not going to draw conclusions, but I'll simply insinuate about a certain auction house that two years ago picked up a rather large parcel of spanish wines from a restaurant that they wouldnt tell me after I doubted some of my 1970s purchases since they threw no sediment and drank like a new zealand pinot.
You were buying wines back in the 1970s (you're a damn lot older than I thought!), or the wines were labeled as being from the 1970s (in which case I had no idea that this shit was going on that far back). Yikes, in either case.
Beauty knows no age!
Inquiring minds want to know: which auction house?! Does it begin with “A” and ends with “r”?
Well if you bought the re-labeled Valbuena at least you got a decent wine. Getting a NZ Pinot is really getting screwed though.
I feel for you g-man.
Nah this was a small restaurant in spain (that isnt' open to the public) that was doing the "we have a large old cellar we'd li ke to sell off"
What was the approximate price per bottle?
Trying to see if the price was high enough to justify faking it.
