Berno . . . what did you think of the Alinea experience?

Amazing flavors, surprises, presentations, but not worth the coin. I'd go to the French Laundry again over Alinea.

I was curious as to how Alinea compared to the French Laundry. My wife and I dined at the French Laundry not too long ago and were blown away.

We have always wanted to try Alinea and after watching the movie "Spinning Plates," its going to be hard to keep us away...
Alinea is definitely worth trying at least once. If you can, get the dessert that unfolds on the table in front of you (once your table has been overlain with a food-grade silicone tablecloth, of course). <Here> is a video of that dessert being "prepared", but it's probably more fun if you don't watch the clip and just be surprised when you get there. Just a warning - Chef came to our table to prepare ours but because he was wearing a fake nametag, we didn't catch on. Bang
