Perhaps thinking I wished I had gifted this bottle I had just opened to someone who would have enjoyed it more than I was enjoying it at the moment or that I had put it up for auction and received the money rather than not enjoying what I had just opened. In those instances, yes. Most other times, no, as being spontaneous and opening a good bottle with friends should not be a situation that you should second guess yourself.

Then again, nothing like answering one's own question.

Been there, done that....

Im sure I will do it again. By the way, I read Summerland by Michael Chabon that you recommended to me last year. A really fantastic piece of imaginative writing. I loved it. My 11 year old niece thought it was great too. Smile

Will work for wine
Yes, I'm new to the boards and took some advice over the thanksgiving holiday and tried 4 different wines prior to buying several bottles of each. Well i liked all 4 (so it wasnt a complete loss i guess) but feel slighted because they apparently will be much better several years down the road.

No, but I’ve opened a few threads like this one and regretted doing so.

.....well...actually greennazzi,...i never have regreted opening a thread (as u have stated that u have) as my topics are quite light hearted and interesting....this is why people comment on my postings ... mostly in a positive way...except for u. My advice is to lighten up and perhaps drink more wine. You,for some reason, have it in for newer members of these forums .... like u own these forums or something. I welcome new people's comments, ... unlike you.

You have to quit spilling wine on the "period" key on your keyboard. It's sticking too much! Big Grin
