The nose of this is similar to wood with a light touch of funk. The palate is dry and a little bit bitter. It did need 24 hours of air for the tannins to die down. Has a touch of acid and the flavor (cherry) is mostly shown in the finish. As the wine warms up the fruit flavors do show on the palate. Cherry, berry and grape.

Let it warm slightly, but not too much. This wine was nice at times, but suffers from that temperature sweetspot where too cold is closed and too warm is dead and flabby.
Not offensive, but not always pleasant either. The bottle says it can age for 5 years. Even though this wine is inexpensive it seems closed. I think it would be an interesting experiment to drink a few of these over the next three years. I don't know, it just seems like there is something else there.
