I saw that WS and Parker both scored this wine at 94 pts. Anyone have any thoughts on a drinking window? Does this need more bottle age or is it good to go now? Thanks!
I haven't tasted this vintage, but since no one else has replied, I find that Solengo is usually approachable earlier than other superTuscans from the same vintage. My '95s actually seem to be declining, and the '96s have hit their peak and aren't getting any better, '97s should probably be held, the only '98 I've had (this past spring) seemed ready. My guess for the '99 is that it's still improving, but with decanting, it should be approachable. 'Hope this helps.
