Does not seem to matter in my experience but then with my low level of success it’s likely not statistically relevant. I think ultimately ask for what you want and the odds are very low no matter what you ask for as demand dwarfs supply.

Possibly, but that seems like a ton of effort. Would probably just offer to one of the local crew that actually wants the wine to drink. Irregardless, it's likely a moot point.
Just placed my order, my wife’s and kid’s. Since 2002 vintage, I purchased, won, 2 Echezeauxs and 3 Grands Echezeauxs. No luck between 2008 and 2016. Don’t give up and keep on ordering. It’s fun and you don’t lose anything. I know I will be disappointed on Tuesday or Wednesday next week but I will forget about it next day until next year.

I say it's rigged because on 3 separate occasions, I've had highly sought after bottles allocated to me only to learn there was a "clerical error" and the bottle was not in fact available. Once is an accident but more than that, I suspect something is afoot and I have a similar name to someone high up in the KGBO or connected to a high up contact at the KGBO.
