the LCBO DRC lottery was supposed to happen today, i spoke with a rep yesterday at vintages and it has been postponed to potentially the spring time, or until further notice... apparently some wines didn't arrive in time. dammit!

Anxious to get that 0 allocation email? ha...
Wouldn't you place an order anyway?
The lottery email is scheduled for Thursday.
My wife says that she never wins a lottery and I know why. Because she never buys one. Let's place an order. Who knows. Thank you, ROSENGOO.
Happy to help and good luck. There will be 4 types in the lottery.
Potentially delayed a week.
No Echezeaux or Grands Echezeaux at all this year - to go along with no RC. Due to the small vintage in 2016?
No E or Grands E, due to the hail in 2016.
Just for fun, put in an order but I won’t get any given my address.
Wil we hear before the 72 hours is up - or will the LCBO take forever like they did with the bourbon lottery?

probably take a while... i was told there were over 35,000 entries for the bourbon allocation (that's per bottle) which caused the delay... i then said "surely the DRC lottery cant attract the same volume"... the rep at Vintages said that in fact does, sometimes even more.... i didn't think there was that many people interested in $1,000+ bottles of wine!

We had a DRC Grand Eschezeau at the Granite Club with a group of Forum winos a while back and it was definitely worth the ~$600 price tag.
