I actually had a dream that I was in the Paris airport for a day in transit and I went into town trying to find some wines to bring back with me. I found this one shop where this old widow who kept the business going after her husband passed away showed me a small door in the floorboards leading to a secret cellar in the basement. She told me I could have any bottle I wanted. There was a magnum of some port in the 70s, some Sauternes and wines from the Jura and I remember see some 1920s Petrus bottle. I remember waking up at that point because I could not decide which bottle to take.

Thank God you woke up or you may not have left that cellar alive!!
I was almost pushed off the street on my bike a few years ago, by a careening middle aged woman who honked for ten seconds and, to my astonishment, flipped me off. That same night, I dreamt the situation again, but I was carrying a wine bottle in a plastic bag. My only thought was, "Is this something expensive or irreplaceable? No, its not."

So I smashed it right through her side window.

Red wine and glass shards everywhere. And I woke up feeling like a million bucks.

OK, bring on the psychoanalysis. Bets on "repressed aggression" won't even give you your money back.

Strange.

Good Grief, Irwin! Dreams? More like nightmares! Okay Yes, and that's why I'm always on a diet! There, I've confessed! For me, Wine demands great food, then great food demands, Great Wines! This is a neverending battle, and like a dog chasing its tail..

BTW, I often drink Cabernet with fish, but I haven't sunk to Cab-Poaching----------yet!--- Any recipes? Cool
Depends on who's upper inner thigh you are lapping wine or eating off of. (drooling icon here)

Given the tasting notes and "what are you drinking" threads, my dream may be to be invited to wine + art's for an evening of a seemingly endless supply of great wines only to end in a nightmare of not having something "worthy" enough to gain entrance. Big Grin
