Jess-- belated welcome to the forums. The dining guide does require some effort. It's not the most user friendly catalogue ever devised by humans. Take a look at some city with which you are familiar and see what places are listed and what places are not.

Another good way to get advice if you are traveling is to post here on either the dining thread or the travel thread and to inquire of restaurant recommendations in the places to which you are traveling.
