Travelling to Paris soon with some friends. We will be going to Chaudenay-la-Ville by train and getting picked up at the Dijon train station by friend of a friend. Tried to find a search area on the Forum but can't find it, so I can't search for information already posted. Sorry. Any info on tasting rooms or places to visit for the day - this is a day trip. Thanks. Andy
Depending on your interests, you could either spend the day exploring Dijon, or you could arrange a tour of the Route des Grands Crus from Dijon to Beaune and back, with its myriad tasting opportunities.
Beaune has tasting rooms where you can walk up and pay. It is also a very charming town with the fantastic Hospice de Beaune and lots of great restaurants and shops. If you want a traditional winery tour, you’ll need to make an appointment.
Thank you for your info. Really appreciated.
Too bad you're not staying the night. I had an excellent dinner at La Maison de Cariatides two weeks ago. Highly recommended. Not sure if they are open for lunch or if they have the full menu at that time.
