The Season 4 premier was last night, and it promises to be an outstanding year for "Dexter" fans.

John Lithgow & Keith Carradine appear to have major roles this season, and the cameo's are always excellent on "Dexter", like Adrienne Barbeau last night, along with a exceptional group of well-known actors in other episodes.

Also, Jimmy Smits was outstanding in last season's episodes, and Mr. Cool, Keith Carridine is back after being off last year. However, I'm looking forward John Lithgow, and his portrayal as the serial killer, "The Trinity Killer"! Lithgow is a fantastic actor, that can evoke thrills, chills, or laughter!

"Dexter" and "True Blood" are my two favorite series!

bman,

Yes, that rear vision of Lithgow was a rather rough! But just think of what Lithgow had to endure; having to sit in that bathtub full of bloody colored water with that lovely actress in the all-to-gether! That scene would have taken me several takes, and maybe even all day to complete! Eek

Yes.

Confused spo?? The body was left at the gym, hanging in a container, above the boxing ring with small drips of blood hitting the floor of the ring. Dexter's concussion prevented him from remembering where he hid the body! Right!

Wow! great episode tonight. That female police officer was hot. A lot of tension building.

spo,

Wow, is right! One of the best episodes in the Dexter entire series! The female police segment was extra special, especially those scenes where she pulled her weapon, and that closing scene was a brilliant teaser for the next episode. I think that segment was written by two women---I would invite them back, immediately!

KSC02 Yes, Jimmy Smits aced that role!
Last night WAS awesome. So was the weekend before where we got a glimpse of the reporter naked. She is a cutie. Sad she's not sticking around.

Yeah, this season is looking pretty good.

Line of the night, "What IS it with you and rape?!"

Also, agreed, season 3 was awesome, and Jimmy Smitts was perfect. In fact, best role I've seem him in I think.

Confused

That reporter is not through yet; she is too tenacious, and she surely adds to Det. Quinn's story line. Previously Quinn's line was with Det. Debra Morgan, but now she has Anton and Lundy, and really doesn't have anytime to interact with Quinn. Appears that Quinn needs that reporter to keep his story line moving. Also, I could use more of her too! Smile She's not through!
Last weeks episode fell a little short, and I'll just have to wait till next week for another dose of "Dexter".

The writers are still being coy on who shot Lundy and Debra Morgan! Everything points to the Trinity Killer, played by John Lithgow, but that seems too obvious, and I still think the guilty party is---- Anton! Eek And now, Anton will be on the bad side of "DEXTER" Eek Anton could be headed for the table! Popcorn
I still think Anton is headed for Dexter's table, but you're right about Jennifer Carpenter's Debra Morgan parking lot scene. That was some outstanding acting! I'm also pained by the loss of Lundy! Damn, Keith Carradine has been fantastic, and after that Off-Broadway show, where you had front row seats, he's got some movies in the works. I like his work a lot, and especially on Dexter!
I just picked up Dexter this year after my wife got suckered into a trial of Showtime by the friendly Directv rep- very unlike her!

What a great show. This last episode had me jumping out of my seat near the end. I can't wait for the big showdown, not sure if it's coming next week or if we have to wait (guessing we have to wait). I really like the acting on the show, although the incognito love tryst going on with the lieutenant is a little annoying, IMO.

grossie,

Yes, that love tryst is annoying to me also! I think the producer tried to save some money, and had the writers write that bit of contrived trivial trash.

Angel Batista had a fantastic relationship going last season with a vice cop Barbara Gianna, but she disappeared after last season (I guess they broke up). Anyway, Gianna brought some real interest to Dexter, whereas, Laguerta needs her own story line, and not some sophomore boring office romance side line!

I agree! I doubt that they will reveal very much with the next episode, caused we've got too far to go before the end of the season. Of course, you could always buy Season 3 and have a marathon weekend! A little wine and a lot of Dexter. (Jimmy Smitts was outstanding in Season 3!)
FWIW, the last episode was not up to par, I guess you could call it an "Off-episode".

The Rita/Counseling story line needs to go away, Nikki was eliminated as Lundy's killer; big deal!
Dexter meets Trinity, uses a false name, gets close, interrogates his son, gets invited into Trinity's home; all without Trinity having a clue! Angel and Laguerta break up, yawn!?!----Stay tuned!
