Homemade tourtiere with homemade ketchup (the latter being very different from the stuff one buys in bottles in grocery stores).  Both made by mrs bman, the best tourtiere chef in Canada!  Which means she's the best in the world, as I doubt this seasonal French Canadian delicacy is made anywhere else!

I had to look this up, as I’ve never heard of the dish. Maybe I can have this when I visit Ottawa.

Perfectly cooked medium rare prime rib roast with super-garlicky caesar salad, to help me recover from the horror of a colonoscopy earlier in the day and the even more horrific colonoscopy prep the day before.

A well-deserved reward. I’m overdue and got a recent reminder from my doctor. But unless I get shot or have a protruding broken bone, no effing way I’m setting foot into a hospital now.
