Ohh, I had picked some of these up mismarked at the LWS for $30 a year ago. I gave one to a buddy's dad for his birthday and he opened it a month or two later and I had the opportunity to taste. Although very young and tight it was drinking nicely and should develope into quite a wine Smile

Oh I'm sure at some point we'll end up sharing a bottle or two. Wink
my taste buds have changed drastically in the past 18 months, taking advantage of the strong bids on the auction sites due to the WS WOTY to Saxum, I decided to empty my cellar of the remainder of cc rangers whose price had eclipsed the value I held for them (either due to severe bottle variation in the past, or a taste profile that i can no longer tolerate). In all, 20 btls gone and I am very happy to have put the dollars to better work.

Purchased with proceeds:

-6 Pisoni Estate 2004
-2 Pisoni Estate 2001 mag
-3 Kutch Sonoma Coast 2008
-9 Pegau CdP 2004
-6 Janasse Chaupin 2004
-6 Usseglio Mon Aiuel 2004
-4 Janasse VV 2004
-1 Pisoni Estate 2004 mag
-6 2003 Laurent Clos Vougeout VV
-1 Janasse Chaupin 2007 mag
-3 Elderton Command 1998

I feel blessed. I hope that everyone enjoyed their holiday and best wishes to all for a healthy and prosperous New Year,

Cool

Too bad it wasn't 20 bottles of Lafite!

PH, have you tried and enjoyed before, or just buying?

I have had this several times, and absolutely love it. I have had some difficulty keeping my mitts off mine, so when I got an offer from one of my retailers for some bottles they bought on futures and were trying to clear out, I jumped on the chance to replenish my stash.

One of my WOTY from a few years ago. A beautiful wine. It has evolved a bit over the last 2 years. Seems spicier now. Maturing.

Agree. Special stuff. The fact that I got these for a little over the price of 375s makes them even better.... Cool

Shavez, do you buy these in Munich, or via the internet?

I actually bought these in Toronto (I'm here for the Holidays), but they're all also available online in Germany. In fact, I've been able to source pretty much every wine I've looked for while in Munich...although the online stores have been much more helpful than the bricks & mortar stores.
Sorry Purple, I got a phone call in the middle of the posting. Hate it when someone wants work out of me this time of year.

2 bottles of 1990 Pol Roger Vintage Brut, a nearby LWS mgr found buried in back part of his walkin wine cooler. Gave it to me at quite the discount, said he didn't know how long it had even be in there! They were in a box with some old burgs. Smile Bottles looked in good shape, so I jumped on them! Big Grin

KSC, it's obvious he's still recovering from last night

Just opened a Jean Laurent BdB Brut (August 2007) to help my recovery. Razz
