Back in the 90's when I was living in Munich, I was just one of the Design team for the Z8 .
A fun project to be a part of and a destined classic, IMHO.
Hope you enjoy your ride, jqm.

Wow, you design cars? Sounds like a dream job!

A seriously fast car. I thought of ordering it myself but my 3 series is already rather small and a 1 series, even thought it is an M, is probably not a good idea. Im over 6 feet tall.

Not any more, jqm.

While I loved what I did, I wanted to get back to Montreal for years and when the automarket vaporised the end of '08 it took but a heartbeat for me to pack my bags and return here. Spending many years in design, enjoyably, I had the opportunity to work extensively on some great projects (first Viper, Z8, 3-series, 7-series, MB SLK, several Jeep programs, etc). Consulted to most of the OEMs (MB, BMW, Volvo, Ford, GM, Chrysler). But those days began to very quickly change with the new millenium and I soon decided to move over to the project/program management side.

When I moved back to Montreal it wasn't a big switch to flip to the aerospace business.
Now it's planes. Smile

Hero. :nodding:
I didn't buy it. It was a Christmas "gift" from my mother-in-law:

2006 Graceland Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon California "The King".

Nice picture of Elvis on the front, wearing the light blue suit with rhinestone studs on the jacket and huge bell bottoms, forehead leaning on the microphone, all sweaty, as if he put every last ounce of passion into the song he just sang. And his signature in simulated gold leaf across the bottom.

I'm pretty sure she bought it at one of the casinos she frequents. How long should I keep it before I put it up for auction?

Didn't drink it. The bottle has no foil over the cork - it is bare on top and I can read the year stamped on the cork. Did a quick web search and it appears that is the way the wine is sold. Not sure if this warrants an email to the winery to clarify that this was just an old cork used for the 2007.

I see said the blind man. Smile

I just went to check on mine, and they all match.
