Buncha markdowns yesterday:

  • 2013 Lou Coucardié CdP Blanc - $13.97
  • 2014 Domaine Cabirau Maury Sec - $8.97
  • 2014 Gaja Ca'Marcanda Magari - $25.97
  • 2015 Domaine Aleofane Crozes Hermitage - $8.97
  • 2016 Domaine De La Moutounniere Muscadet - $5.97
  • 2016 Domaine du Penlois Beaujolais Blanc - $6.97

Had the Bojo Blanc and CdP Blanc last night.  Both definitely punch well above their weight at these price points.

I wonder if State laws have an impact on the price differences?

They must.  WA kept tight control via state liquor stores for decades after prohibition. It was only opened up to other outlets in 2012 after a citizens initiative was passed against furious opposition from the state. That same year recreational marijuana was legalized here; though we still have one of the highest liquor taxes in the country. Oddly, though local gov't wouldn't budge on their monopolistic views of alcohol, the city I live in is considering doubling the number of cannibus stores "in order to discourage monopolies."
