I would love to get the 04 for that price.
Sticky2, If you really want some I can send it too you. AZCat bought a few of the bottles and I think I'm going to put 2 or 3 away, so there should be 3 or 4 left.
I recently bought six of the 2005 La Tour Carnet from the Irvine Costco (the new one at Jamboree and Barranca) for $34 each. Great deal. There were a few left after my purchase.
Bought (4) Château Pichon-Longueville-Lalande at $49.97/ea, Laguna Niguel, Costco. They also had a ton of 2005 Clos De Marquis at $54ea.
My prior post, sorry, 2004 Château Pichon-Longueville-Lalande.
05 Cos $183.99 (lots in bin, WS 98 pts)
Macallan 18 yo $75.97 (only 1 left)

I picked up two bottles of Lalande two weeks back and returned today to see that they are all gone. However, I find at Irvine Costco they have the 05 Cos for $183.99 and the 05 Canon LaGaffeliere for $96.99. These prices have turned me off because I remember the days I bought at the same store the 00 Cos for $73 and the 01 Cos for $52. Now I am paying $150 per bottle at Wine Exchange for the 03 Angelus which is a better deal.

Thanks atomsite. The 05 Duhart Milon is all gone at Garden Grove and there are two cases left at Fullerton after I picked up a case.
Uh, oh. I just saw two bottles of 2005 Cos d'Estournel for $183.99/ea at the Long Beach Costco. Seems expensive to me, but others may not think so. Should I buy, or leave them be?
They also have 2005 Lagrange and 2005 Dauzac.

Suckling loved this stuff:
05 Caronne Ste. Gemme for $13.99 at Yorba Linda.
I picked up a half case, and the guy in line behind me picked up 2 cases for himself and 2 for his friend. There are dozens of cases left, but this probably won't last.

Actually, Burbank. Whoops. Thanks for catching that though - there is no costco in Glendale

Was at the Costco in San Juan Capistrano yesterday and saw the 2005 Dauzac for $40, 2005 Smith-Haut-Lafitte Red for $69, 2005 Canon-La Gaffeliere for $95ish??? And the Caronne-Ste.-Gemme for $14. Fair prices at this stage in the game.
Just got back from Scottsdale, AZ store:
Oregon Pinot Noir's
2006 King Estate Signature $21.50, I have a couple of cases of this back in Oregon, drinking very nice right now after an hour or two decant. Much better than the 2005
2006 Tori Morr $23.89 I have not tried this yet, but this one will get opened on Friday night

Seems like its not a great deal for a 91 pt bottle of wine. Any other sightings?

Saw the 05 Don Melchor for $50 in Santa Clara. Thought "WTF?" and passed. Now I'm getting spammed by retailers asking $60!
They also had a few 05 Coutet for $52. Given that I paid $35 for the 2003 I passed on that too.
And there was some 05 Dead Arm at $48.

Dave, I also saw the 05 Don Melchor @ the San Jose Almaden Costco & bought (2) bottles.
oh hum ... if only Pa didn't suck
At the Long Beach, CA Costco. Yesterday at approximately 5PM they put out 24 bottles of 2005 Pontet Canet at $79.99 each. At 10:30AM today there were 7 bottles left.
They also have 2005 Cos d'Estournel at $183.99/ea.

I saw cases and cases of 2005 Caronne St. Gemme at the Marina del Rey Costco today, at $13.99 each.
AZCat, Did you save your receipt for the 04 Haut brion? I just bought the last 2 bottles they had at that store and they rang up as 119.97. I'm not sure what their return/pricing policy is but I'd bet you could take the receipt back and get some money back.quote:Originally posted by desertwineguy:quote:Originally posted by AZCat:
Yeah, I checked it out. I couldn't bring myself to spend the $179 for the 99s, but I did walk out with a couple Dauzacs for $39.99 each so it was worthwhile. Thanks anyway!
AZCat, I found your 2004 Haut Brion. It was a different north valley Costco. It's still 163.99 and they have 9 bottles as of Monday morning. Email me at bigazjeep@att.net. I'll send ya the pic of them and the location.
I don't think so but I'll look around - certainly worth the effort at that price. Nice buy!

If y'all are finding 2005 Don Melchor for 50 bones, grab it. I tried it at the WS Grand Tour thingy and it was kickin' juice.
And, no '05 Bordeaux in Indiana yet. Sigh,

I haven't been a fan of this wine in the past, but this year is outstanding. I thinks it's better than the 2003.

I could not agree more. I was at the Grand Tour thingy too in Vegas and thought that the Melchor was the best ever period. It is juice to sit up and take notice of.
Good to hear, and hope you had a good time. Past versions I've tried have been on the oaky side for me. The 2005 had fantastic balance, I can't wait to get some for the cellar, and the little cooler at home.

Bought another six pack tonight. I like this wine.
At Costco in Brighton, Michigan I picked these up today:
2004 Chateau Margaux $189
2004 Chateau Mouton Rothschild $143
1998 Chateau Haut-Brion $299
Not GREAT deals but the 04 CM(93WS) released at $220 and is current auction at $278; 04 CMR (93WS) released at $185 and current auction at $206; and 98 CHB (97)WS) released at $193 and current auction at $416.
This particular Costco seems to take decent care of their bottles (of course unsure of transit and where they were before etc.) and the climate in the wine area is pretty sound.

Yorba Linda Costco has the 05 Don Melchor for 50 bucks... still a few left.
I'm still waiting for the Caronne St Gemme to hit Orange County at $13.99 as reported earlier this week in Marina Del Ray.

You might be too late, Caronne St Gemme left my Costco about 2-3 months ago.
Lizard,
Turns out I wasn't too late as Irvine Costco has 500 bottles on hand at $13.99. I picked up a case today. They still have Cos D'Estournel at $183.99. I would love to find some of those 2004 first growth deals that others were finding in Arizona Costco's.
