This past Sunday I attended the Cochon 555 Tour event in Boston and was quite a fan of the event. I don't know if others have attended, but thought some folks here may be interested should an event be in their area.
The basic scoop is it's an eent for pig people. The event consists of 5 heritage pigs, 5 local chefs and 5 wineries. Each chef gets a pig and is encouraged to prepare it "nose-to-tail" style. Attendees taste all of the dishes, have some wine and vote for who they think did the best job with their pig. It was a really fun event.
In Boston there was a reception with oysters, cheese and more wine. The reception is actually one of the reasons I thought to post here, as Todd Anderson was pouring his Ghost Horse World wines at the reception (no joke!).
In terms of wine at the main event, I really favored the Wind Gap wines. I won't go too much into detail as I don't want to seem like I am selling anything (no affiliations). Plus I think the wineries can change for each event anyway. Just thought some folks may be interested if the tour stops in your town. Here is the link: Cochon 555
