I have several of these from different vintages....a terrific cigar for sure but is not my size preference.

I have had several delicious small ring gauge cigars, but for me, it is an awkward size in my hand, feels flimsy and almost like a long cigarette to me.

My size choice is 46-54 ring gauge with exception to the BHK 56. Anything above 56-60 my jaw starts to hurt.

Length of the cigar is dependant on time for me...but majority of my sticks are robusto size.

BINGO! We have a winner. Smile

I feel that way about lanceros for sure (though some are quite elegant, focused, and tasty), but the shorter coronas (like the Liga Privada Dirty Rat or Man 'o War Puro Authentico - both 5") seem to handle their small gauge in a more 'balanced' way.

If we're talking preferences, however, count me in the 50-52 crowd. 52 doesn't seem uncomfortable, and I really can't imagine a cigar feeling better in the hand than a Cohiba Siglo VI, My Father LE, or Montecristo Grand Edmundo - all 52 ring gauges and in the neighborhood of 6" long.

I enjoy the 52 a great deal, just not as much as the 54 - 60 size. Smile

I have a 54 ready to enjoy during my herb garden work this morning.

I'd be interested in a recommendation or two for a 56+. I've got a few 54s I really like, but I've been left less-than-convinced by the few 60s I've tried.

On the other hand, I just received some My Father Special Robustos (5 x 50), and they seem small, for whatever reason. ?
