Got a box waiting for me in Chicago. Cool
Maybe I should order another?.....

Fwiw, it was the best cigar I have ever smoked. However, I was able to enjoy it by myself, on my 40th birthday, on a perfectly still 72-degree night, on my front porch, just finished a wonderful meal, much reflection, took 1.5 hours to smoke (you get the point). Big Grin

My brother-in-law and I got paired up with another twosome last week. One of the gentlemen was smoking this cigar. My brother-in-law who knows nothing about cigars, kept complimenting this guy on how great the cigar smelled. When he told me what it was, I kept saying 'no thanks'. But he insisted that he give us one each to smoke. And so began my 2 hours of torcher. I was praying for somebody to hit me with a golf ball.

Enjoyed a few over the past few days:

Padron Serie 1926 80TH Anniversary Maduro Perfecto (Incredible cigar. One of the best I've had the pleasure of smoking)

Padron 1964 Aniversario Principe Maduro Corona (very, very nice smoke. Smooth and a great value)

Oliva Serie V Torpedo Sungrown (good clean draw and burn. A great cigar in its' price range. Well worth purchasing)

And why, my dear friend, would you be so inclined to do such a silly thing as that? Smile
I don't miss the cotton mouth...but perhaps the silky smooth connecticut shade wrapper on an Ashton double magnum...the sweet spiciness of a Hemingway short story, just the right size for a brief smoke...or the chocolatey smoothness of a Montecristo No. 2 with a highland single malt to sip...no...I think I'm fine...don't miss it at all... Wink
I have a well-stocked humi right now--enough to last me at least 10 years.

Bolivar Petite Coronas
Trinidad EL 2007
Juan Lopez No. 2
Various shapes and sizes of OpusX
Various Padron 1964s and Ashton VSGs

I can't wait to find out what the Trinidads taste like in a few more years. I have been hearing great things about the early Fundadores, but aged Trinidads are impossible to get a hold of.

The Fundadores could be one of the best cigars I've ever smoked. Back in the day they were rumored to exist, but nobody ever saw them. It was said that Castro had them and only gave them out to goverment officials.

I have a cigar Eurocave from '95 that was stocked full of Cubans, Dominicans and Nicaraguans. I basically forgot about them when I got into wine. All the cigars were dated.

I recently open the "vault" and found 10-15yr old Opus Xs, Padron 1964s, RASS, Monty #2s and 4s, R&Js, Diplomaticos, Don Carlos, first addition Fuente Anejos of all sizes, between the lines etc. etc. I even found a collectable box of "Monica" cigars with Bill Clinton on the box. Wink

Snipes, was the cigar a Cuban version?

Yes it was.
