Easily the cigar I have smoked the most of in my life. I think of my grandfather each time, and he was a man whom I loved and admired immensely.

Have you had one from the early 90's? I have a couple left and when the draw and burn is on...its a perfect cigar IMO. Have yet to have one better!

I have enjoyed their cigars from the '90's, but they were not old when I had them.

I've only got 8 left, and I haven't seen them available anywhere for several months, so I'm being pretty selective about when to light up. If I do find any, I'll be sure to let you know. Being a fan of the 2011 as well, I'm eager to see what they do for 2012!

I bought a bundle and a half...I have about 12 left...they are the best LE Ive ever had by My Father. The 2011 is better than the 2010 (banded) IMO.

Banded and coffined from 2010.

OH..ok, these are really good as well...but the pre-release ones/unbanded have a darker wrapper and IMO the blend is different a little...

Infact, now that I think about it, Im not even sure I have any of the 2010's banded left...I didnt buy many and should have!

After a run of less-than-inspiring sticks (Tat 7th Capa Especial, Joya de Nicaragua Antaño GR, Illusione mk ultra, Cabaiguan - decent final third, but that's not saying much), I finally got a winner - Quesada España Short Robusto. Medium-bodied, elegant, some sweet fruit character, and intriguing transitions of flavors for such a short little guy. Thumbs up!

Just polished off another Domus Magnus Optimus. Consistent with the previous stick, which is to say "outstanding!" Better than the Primus IMO and a box-worthy stick in every way.

I don't post on this thread often but I've really been enjoying Montecristo #2s and Partagas Serie D #4s lately. Am adding to my collection as I've determined that these shall be my go-to smokes.

Both solid smokes, AZC.
But keep your cellar diversification in mind when you 'think/expect' one or two cigars will become your 'go to' smokes you palate will change.
Same rules apply: Try a lot of different cigars.

While I no longer have a truly 'go to' smoke any more, I always enjoy the two you've mentioned. They're both, undisputably, classics.

Absolutely the finest example of this cigar I have enjoyed to date.

Javier's was also in fine form last night.

Agreed..and I think the 2011's will be even better.

I havent had a cigar in a week...fighting a damn chest cold. Im going to have to "man up" here soon....

'Sounds like a good weekend! I'll be attending a Drew Estate event this Friday, hoping to find some Liga Privada and/or Undercrown specials.

No, but Jill is supposed to be there. There's another DE event in August at which Jonathan is supposed to be in attendance. For my interest, if they've got the Ratzilla or Undercrown Viva! available, I call it a win.

We have an event in March with Drew, EPC, Tat ( I think), My Father after a huge Anniversary dinner. Not sure if you got the email blast?

Anyways..Im not attending the dinner this year..may go to the event the next day if I have some time.
