It was pretty good Stick, had a mild sweetness undertone to it that was in nice balance...only 50 boxes of the CT..and 200 boxes of a Maduro...I believe it was 44 ring gauge and 6 inches or so long. Cost 8$/stick.

Earlier this evening: San Lotano Oval Robusto. Nice, savory, basic... a good conversation cigar that doesn't demand a lot of attention, but delivers an easy, enjoyable smoke.

Hoyo Epicure 2 08'...hitting its stride quite nicely...lots of hazlenut...perfect coffee cigar IMO

Terrific stick..any idea of the box code?

They were a partial box. 2011s according to the supplier, who we've discussed recently. My Serie P #2s are still missing in action as we speak....

I'm confident D will be excited to see I bought a new watch when she returns home next week. That said, I may just leave the new watch in my watch-winder for a few days after she returns. Too much excitement may overwhelm her after such a long trip.

The CT is a smoke now type cigar and will improve..more medium strength...the maduro is very good...stronger...could use a few months to settle in but draw and burn was flawless on both. 2 completely different cigars actually!

About to open a St. Bernardus Abt 12, select a nice cigar and relax before watching the Giants win their game.

Make sure you tuck one of those "nice cigars" away....Im looking forward to the hand delivery of it in LV

Tonight, I'll fire up a Partagas Serie D #4. This particular stick was a gift from an employee who just returned from Jamaica. Interestingly, the wrapper is several shades darker than the dozen or so I have left in my humidor. Should be interesting to see how it smokes.

Are you 100% sure it is real?

I'm not, but I'm nowhere near an expert. It was purchased at the airport gift shop on his way out. I'm suspicious, but am gonna fire it up and see what happens.

Is the band the exact same color and has the same lettering and period as the ones you have?

I'm out of the house, so can't do a side-by-side. I'll take a look when I return and report back! It's good to have the Godfather looking out for you!!

Tried the Casa Magna Domus Magnus (Limitada) Primus last night - not nearly as good as the Optimus (the smaller of the two). Ya, 'smaller' at 5 3/4 x 52!

So.....the Serie D #4 was a bust. I knew as soon as I lit it. Nothing there. Just got home, and the band color, lettering and overall construction were totally different. Oh well....

Sorry bud...but I was a little concerned for you. Pretty much guarantee if the cigar is not purchased in a official Habano's store, the cigar is probably fake


My dad brought home two Cohiba's from a cruise he went on, they were about the size of a BHK 56 but Maduro...I knew before I even looked at the bands they were fake....thank god he only paid 25$ for the two.

Such is life! At least I didn't pay for it. The worst thing is that it was absolutely UNSMOKEABLE, and I had no backup. My bad.

Yes it is life...the issue with fake cubans that is of concern is that some can actually be harmful. A year or so ago a guy brought in, what he thought, an authetic cuban. I looked at it...as he was "bragging" etc....I said this is fake. He said BS! So I told him...I have a box of these at home, let me cut this open and Ill replace it for you. He let me...it was packed with what looked like insulation, hair (origin unknown ), wood splinters and debris.

The look on his face was priceless...anyways..Im glad he didnt smoke it. Thats my story for the day...

Dang, I'm afraid to show up in Vegas and the Godfather take one look at my sticks and proclaim "those are fake".
