Just finished a My Father Fed Cervante Connecticut at the shop...only 50 boxes of these apparently.

So what's your assessment? I didn't realize this release was a CT. Are all the sticks CT, or is it like the Jaime Garcia LE with one Habano wrapper, while all the others are oscuro?

It was pretty good Stick, had a mild sweetness undertone to it that was in nice balance...only 50 boxes of the CT..and 200 boxes of a Maduro...I believe it was 44 ring gauge and 6 inches or so long. Cost 8$/stick.

I will email you a photo.

Yes, I'm left handed, but does not matter with this watch.

I'm confident D will be excited to see I bought a new watch when she returns home next week. That said, I may just leave the new watch in my watch-winder for a few days after she returns. Too much excitement may overwhelm her after such a long trip. Wink

I have a funny feeling a "new watch" is furthest from her mind after being away from you for awhile Wink

They were a partial box. 2011s according to the supplier, who we've discussed recently. My Serie P #2s are still missing in action as we speak.... Frown Confused Mad Frown

My thoughts and prayers are with you buddy! Be curious how the 2011 is smoking...have yet to have a 2011 from the island.

I'll have to check my e-mail, marcb7. I may have misspoken here. Could be 2010s? Will let you know.

Ha! I will not be home when she returns for a few days myself, which means if she gets her watch out of the watch-winder, she will be SURPRISED. Woot

Oh well, she loves surprises. Cool

Tonight, I'll fire up a Partagas Serie D #4. This particular stick was a gift from an employee who just returned from Jamaica. Interestingly, the wrapper is several shades darker than the dozen or so I have left in my humidor. Should be interesting to see how it smokes.

Are you 100% sure it is real?
Sorry bud...but I was a little concerned for you. Pretty much guarantee if the cigar is not purchased in a official Habano's store, the cigar is probably fake Frown

My dad brought home two Cohiba's from a cruise he went on, they were about the size of a BHK 56 but Maduro...I knew before I even looked at the bands they were fake....thank god he only paid 25$ for the two.
Yes it is life...the issue with fake cubans that is of concern is that some can actually be harmful. A year or so ago a guy brought in, what he thought, an authetic cuban. I looked at it...as he was "bragging" etc....I said this is fake. He said BS! So I told him...I have a box of these at home, let me cut this open and Ill replace it for you. He let me...it was packed with what looked like insulation, hair (origin unknown Eek), wood splinters and debris.

The look on his face was priceless...anyways..Im glad he didnt smoke it. Thats my story for the day...
