10 pack just arrived. Cool Now how long before I fire up the first one is the question. Smile

I look forward to seeing what you think of them. Smile

The first one was a dud. It canoed on me right from the start and O could never get it to recover. Pretty much burned as a hot mess. I'll let the rest sit in my highly seasoned humidor for at least a couple of weeks and see if I have a better go the next time.

stickman, send me an email to <email removed>. I want to email you a picture of this thing. LOL!

Thanks for sharing. Painfully humorous, I'm afraid. Wow. Then again, your description as a 'hot mess' is eerily accurate. Ouch.
Well got back from Foxwoods last night...still in a daze. I remember some of the cigars we smoked, I believe there was a bottle of wine or four as well, something from Tuscany 2001 and Bordeaux 1990. I think it was good? Mostly drank Macallan 18, still bleeding scotch.

Cigars were:

Cohiba BHK 56
Montecristo Sublime
LGC Sublime
My Father LE 2011
Hey Joe,

I wouldnt have a clue how to post a pic, however have you ever seen one of those huge marine white coolers, like 110QT? Thats pretty much what I use with boveda packs for full boxes. I have a few desk tops as well for loose sticks and a foot locker humidor for odd shaped boxes.

If you want me to email you a picture I certainly can do that with my phone....im not completely moronic.

Gave one to a fellow cigar lover to smoke on Monday afternoon. Although it didn't canoe like mine did it burned like a hot mess until he finally gave up a little over half way through. That's 2 for 2 bad showings.

Turned a little too acidic half way. Not as enjoyable as I expected it to be.

Vintage? Possible sick period?

Possible. I purchased from a legal dealer in Playa del Carmen (not surprising, a lot of counterfeits there) but I neglected to check the vintage on the box.

Frown :shaking-head: What a pity that such an exquisitely blended cigar is plagued by such atrocious construction issues. Just a shame.
My Father Limited Edition 2010. While I find myself more consistently enjoying smaller vitolas recently (e.g., Liga Privada Dirty Rat, Man o' War Puro Authentico, H. Upmann Mag 46), a great toro remains my preference for special occasions. Just the feel of this cigar (6 1/2 x 52) in the hand is a thing of pleasure. It reminded me of the first time I wrote with a hefty Mont Blanc pen; it turns something ordinary and easily taken for granted into a moment of appreciation and respect. This is not the most complex stick Pepin has blended, but it's savory and deep with rich tobacco, dry wheat cereal, malt, and pepper, varying in degrees as the stick burns. That this stick also exhibited and absolutely perfect draw from beginning to end and only needed a couple, easy corrections made this a joy to smoke.

Sorry to hear that guys in regards to the Monte....I have about a box and a half left and luckily have had no burn issues. There has been a couple of soft spots noticed but tasted and burnt fine.

'Glad to hear your batting average has been better than ours. My box code is MGA NOV 10 from PE. How does that compare to yours?
