Padilla--Miami
I'm not a big cigar smoker but I had a Tatuaje (brown label) while out on the course the other day and really enjoyed it.
Wonderful weather here today! Will definitely light one up tonight. Got a half bottle of port to go along with it.
While in Aruba - a pair of Romeo y Julieta, H Upmann and a Montecristo #2 straight from Fidel's La Casa del Habano. I asked the lady if he was available. I don't think she got the joke, but a guy in green fatigues followed me around for a while after that.

2004 Torano Tribute Churchill Maduro
I was originally digging for something more festive, but the fall should welcome lots of cigar smoking, so I'll start this one off nice and easy.

How was it? Do you like this size for a cigar?

My cigar cutter would be inadequately small.

It was a special smoke. As for ring size, it depends on a number of things, but I do prefer a larger cigar in general for sure.

This cigar is half the price as here in Dallas.

You should have stocked up for the ride home.
Yesterday blew down THREE Don Pablos. I was on a roll.

I did buy an extra 6, then later thought I should of bought a box. It was a $60 taxi ride, and I just decided not to go back.

What is the size of the #6?
Large ring gage and about 6 inches(?).
It was PH's and I didn't measure.

Over the weekend enjoyed a few:
Montecristo Petite Robusto
Hoyo Epicure 2

I think snipes is wanting to partake in Atlanta this week.

Rom and Jul Deluxe Cedros with a '98 Château La Fleur-Pétrus...
Heading to cigar bar in downtown Atlanta, soon.

Bolivar Belicosos Finos
Trinidad Coloniale
Ramon Allones Special Selected---Robusto
marcb7....nice cigars you've been smoking. The RASS you just smoked is one of my favorites.
I recently pulled out some '97-99 Monty #2's, Diplomaticos, Cohibas, Punch etc. I didn't expect the same "punch" but I just didn't get the refined flavors on the other end.
Your experience?

IMO, RASS is one of the more "under the radar" habano's. It is a very solid smoke. The one I just has was from 2010, it could use some time, but still smoking very fresh.
I has a Cohiba Siglo VI 08' two nights ago and it knocked me through a loop, what a terrific stick.
Im not much into Punch, the diplo's are hit or miss. The Monte #2 is a outstanding smoke, but they have issues from time to time with construction, when they are on, it may be the best stick out there however.
Have you had the new Behike?
Yes, all it takes is a slight twist of the ligero, and those Monty's will seize up. When they're on though--spectacular. I agree that the Diplos are hit and miss, much like the La Glorias.
I haven't had the Behike yet. I take it you recommend? I'm looking for some fresh Trinidads, but it has been a while since I've spoken to my "source" so I'm not sure what to pay.
I'd have to say the one thing that is smoking pretty well (aged) are the original Fuente Anejos.

The Behike is very nice, smooth!! It will be better in a few years for sure. Depending on the price, I would highly recommend it. But the Siglo VI is one hell of a stick at half the price.
I love Trinidad, the Reyes and Coloniales are very good. I have not had the Robusto in some time, but its hard to go wrong with a Trini. The quality of the cigars construction is top notch.
Bolivar is another one, the RC's and BF's are typically consistant and reliable.
Can't go wrong with Fuente, probably my #1 NC.

Just lit up a Cohiba Espendido 07' with some JW Blue and ice water on the side.
Has anyone ever heard of a Tiparillo? ?
Seriously, I have several Cubans left, but I've really given up smoking over the last 5 years. Besides, I was only an occasional smoker, at best.

Trying the new Cohiba Behike along with a Maduro 5 this weekend, will report back! I'm a huge van of the Siglo VI, so we shall see if these two are worth the extra coin.
latour67....you probably just don't want to ruin that palate of yours.
LOVE the Bolivar RC's and BF's!

LOVE the Bolivar RC's and BF's!
Into Diesel (unholy cocktail) and the Diesel Unlimited.....enjoying them with some great zins from Paso Robles (Norman Vineyards "The Monster" and Turley "Juvenile" and "Pesenti").

Dunder, which size? Ive had the 52 and 54. I think you will be a happy person this weekend! Can't wait to hear your thoughts.
marcb7, the 54. I understand there's also a 56 which is a bit more difficult to source. The Behike Saturday, Maduro 5 on Sunday, and kicking the weekend of with a Bolivar RC. All 3 will likely be accompanied with either Ardbeg Uigeadail or my trusty Lagavulin 16.
I noticed that you mentioned earlier being a fan of the MC #2, if you have chance to try the 2010 EL, it is one heck of a good smoke. Like a #2 on roids.

I'm a fan of the 52 & 54 ring size.
I'm also not sure I have ever had a 56.

I don't think I have either. Looks like a two hour smoke.quote:Originally posted by wine+art:

I would love to try one. We will have to grab KSC02, marcb7 and others to try this cigar.
Dunder,
I just finished a BRC for 09', nice full bodied stick! The EL is fantastic! The Duke by RyJ is also nice.
I have a few boxes of the 52 Behike and a box of the 54. The 56 would easily be a 2 hour smoke! Not sure I could physically stand up after that

Sounds fun to me...I had a chance to source a box of the 56's, but dont have much of an opportunity to sit that long unfortunately...so opted for the 52's and 54's. Although, I do have a bunch of HdM's Double Corona's...those can push 2 hrs, and they are a excellent medium bodied smoke, matches very well with Macallan 18!!
