Chocolate and wine

Is there a sauce involved here? What else is in the ricotta filling?

I beleive she reccomends a Barolo from Trader Joe's to go with.

Australian cab-savs from Barossa or MacLaren Vale often have chocolate overtones, so they could mske a good match.

It depends on how sweet the chocolate is. Generally, Chocolate and a dry red wine are a terrible match. Unless, of course, the chocolate is a very bitter style...then a lot of Bordeauxs, or even some Cali Cabs can match it nicely. For a sweeter, richer chocolate, think either Banyuls or Port.

I've assumed unsweetened dark chocolate in my early reply
