Saturday is J's birthday. I tried to convince her that Chicago would be a great place to spend it, but she has a work obligation on Friday so the trip isn't really worth it. And obviously I can't leave on Saturday.

No, but there are not a lot of zero-corkage fee options near downtown.

Buenos Aires sounds good, but you guys don't have to pick a place right around my hotel. I can jump on the El and head a little further afield if the choices are better.

I'm getting into town early afternoon, so I can meet you guys whenever it's convenient for you. I'll probably be hungry and thirsty by about 6:00. You guys want to try an '04 Clos des Papes? If not, I'll find something else.

I will make a reservation for 4 for 6:00pm at Buenos Aires, 939 N. Ashland under my name, Jim. Attending will be Steve, Scott, Haggis and me.

The '04 Clos des Papes sounds great. I will bring a 1999 Louis Bernard CdP Blanc and a 1990 Domaine Tempier Bandol Cuvée Spéciale La Tourtine.

I will likely drive with Haggis. Steve and Scott, let me know if you would like me to pick you up on the way in.
