Apparently, posting the same spam ad in numerous threads in a forum that already does what the spam advertisement offers makes you a visionary.

I’m OK with $15.  In Michigan, I’ve been hard pressed to find a place that even allows corkage, and then its $30-35 per bottle and jelly jars for stemware.

I pinged Dan about this over the weekend. He sounded unlikely due to a scheduling conflict. Being a Tuesday I’m guessing it wouldn’t be too hard to add a person or two if he changes his mind.

I’ve yet to hear from Martin or Welshstar.

Made the reservation for 10 people at 6:30. $15 corkage. Also sent an email to Otis to see if he wanted to come. Here is the website with the address:

WineSparty- I think I'll be picking up my wife at the Elmhurst station. If so, I'll let you know what train she will be on and if you take the same train I could get both of you.

Thanks VM! See everyone there.

I am changing the wine I’m bringing. I will instead bring a 2002 Clarendon Hills Grenache Old Vines Romas.

Yes,

thanks to VM for arrangements!

I plan to bring Champagne Andre Clouet 1911 Grand Cru.

I’m still debating about which Red to bring.

I'm willing to bring a barrel sample of my 2017 Haven Pointe Vineyard Pinot Noir Wadenswil Cuvee if there is any interest in trying it.

VM

I would have interest in trying your barrel sample, but don’t feel obligated on my part—I know it’s a limited resource.

And I just re-read my last post.  To clarify, the Andre Cluet is cuvée 1911 Non Vintage Grand Cru, not vintage 1911, in case anyone was wondering!

I’m glad - I heard ‘11 sucked! 😈

I would also be interested in the sample if VM is willing to bring it.

In addition to the barrel sample, I've pulled 2 more wines:

2001 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spätlese

2000 La Spinetta (Rivetti) Barolo Vürsù Vigneto Campè

Well, the weather this morning has played havoc on the lacrosse schedule, so my son will be playing well into the evening.  I still plan to make it tonight, but Mrs. Redhwk is going to have shuttle boys between fields. So she will have to bow out, with her apologies.

Get those kids an Uber account! 😛

Belated thanks to everyone who came out and especially to Mr. and Mrs. Redhawk, who had a busy schedule that the weather didn't help. I enjoyed having the round table so we could face each other and converse - we should request similar seating for off-lines when possible. Though I liked our Bruno Paillard Champagne more than VM did (based on hist CT note), this was probably the most I've agreed with his tasting notes as a whole from an evening's lineup. Fun gathering.

The barrel sample of Pinot you brought was very good - well done with those young vines.
