+1 on the goat cheese if you have to have cheese...a fresh would work, could serve on a toasted type of thin sliced french bread, or the like, and could even top it with a fruit relish/chutney/jam type topping (check out your local cheese shop if you have one or a gourmet/specialty store... a young La Tur (goat/sheep/cow mix) would even work.
