Wet rocks and a rock face with some fruit on the nose. As for the palate, iron and mineral are predominant with raspberry and blackberry in the background. This is a dry wine, think sour fruit. There is a slight hint of green that is sort of concealed by the mineral flavor. As this warms up a dry and sour plum flavor becomes predominant. A little leather, game and funk is also there. And every so often this will throw the purest cherry and grape flavor at you. Wow, but not really a "wow wine". Old school with subtlety, restraint and purity.
