I have about 2 dozen different Chardonnays to taste for my wine list and am going to invite my staff for a tasting.
I'm looking for some easy appetizers to offer along with the wines. I'm looking for items that can be prepared ahead of time or something that will not take me away much from the tasting.
Your suggestions, please...

My preference with most chardonnay tends towards seafood.

A couple items that would work would be small skewers of shrimp (white shrimp if available) and lobster pieces lightly dusted with 5-spice and a nice ponzu sauce marinade.

Some Ahi poke. If you are looking for walk around food, you could also put it on skewers.

A mild cream cheese with water crackers and some maricopa almonds. You could pipe it into canapes a little ahead of time.

Oysters on the half shell.
