Going to dinner Saturday night for our 15th anniversary at Morimoto Napa.

Morimoto

Which 1995 bubbly should I bring? I have multiple bottles of all.

1995 Charles Heidsieck Champagne Blanc des Millénaires
1995 Krug Champagne Brut
1995 Salon Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs
1995 Taittinger Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne

Any other recommendations of wines to bring? Thanks in advance.

Happy anniversary to you and your lovely bride, sir!

I have not had Salon, but I've had the other 3 in the last couple of years. I would wait a bit longer on the Krug. Of the Heidsieck and Taittinger, I prefer the latter.

It's a good life when your quandary is choosing between those four bottles to celebrate a special occasion. Smile

Twin huh? Interesting... it seems you have your champagne problems under much better control than he does Wink
I would lean toward the Heidsieck as showing best at this point in time.
That said, I wouldn't hesitate to open the Krug or Salon either and, personally, rate them both a touch higher on the 'specialness' scale for a celebration.
The Taittinger would likely be the tightest at this time, IMHO and need more time.

So a coin toss, IMO. Salon, heads...Krug, tails.

I love them all and, as Dok said, any one is a fine choice, indeed.

Congratulations on your Anniversary, DVD Wink
The two most ready to go here are the Heidsieck BdB and Taittinger Comtes BdB. I love the Salon, but is has tightened up since release and I've never been huge on the 95 Krug. I think the 95 Taittinger Comtes BdB is clearly a better wine than the Heidsieck BdB, but both would make a great choice.

I agree, and one should pull the better wine for an anniversary celebration, IMO.

95 is also my wedding year. Happy anni! I own and have consumed multiple bottles of all of these. In order of what I think is drinking best now: Heidseick, Taittinger, Salon, Krug (the Krug is not there yet)

In order of personal preference I am not a huge Heiseick fan but the Taittinger rocks my boat. Cool BdB will be great with the food.

After I had the 95 Comtes several years ago. I just loaded up on it because of how good it was and at that time, the price. $95.00 a bottle.

An excellent price indeed! Congratulations.
You won't find anywhere close to that price today.
I have enjoyed reading all the opinions on this thread.

I do not think there is much debate the Heidsieck is the most ready to go, but the others options are just such superior wines.

It is your 15th anniversary DVD, select off of the top shelf, and enjoy the Comtes de Champagne. Big Grin

All this talk has be now debating about opening a bottle tonight. Wink
Again, thanks everybody.

I pretty much felt it would come down to the Heidsieck and the Taittinger, with the others not being ready.

So, I am pretty sure that I am going to bring both and open the Heidsieck Friday night and the Taittinger at Morimoto on Saturday night. Or maybe something else for Friday and both of them on Saturday. I also think a .375 of Yquem might be in order for all of the foie gras dishes. Such a dilemma!

Are your diamond shoes feeling a bit too tight? Wink

Enjoy your weekend!

Mimik, it appears most people have you on a hide post mode, so rarely does anyone see your post. Razz Wink

That explains a lot! Eek
