Has anyone come across this wine..paso robles based. Had 1999 CS in LA it was superb, especially for the money. Recently tasted 1995 CS also. Roughly $20 a bottle.

Tough to get in NY, but curious if anyone had any comments...

They are the source for some of Justin's grapes, especially the Cab Franc.I looked up my notes on the 1999 Carmody-McKnight Cabernet Sauvignon:

"Sweet and fleshy, with aromas and flavors of currant, plum, cedar, anise, and asian spices. Despite 14.9% alcohol, it maintains a sense of elegance." Cost: $19.99 Rating: 89 points

99 Cadenza is a very nice drinking wine. 50% Cab Franc, 37% Merlot and 13% Cab Sauv. Just received a double gold at CA State Fair wine competion, finishing second to M.Coz ($100) in the category of "bourdeux blends." Wine outlet.net in Paso Robles/Atascadero has the wine available at around $20.00. Good value @ limited production. Won't last long.
