I may have what is a simple question, but I cannot seem to find an adequate answer with a Google search. I know there are Grand Crus, Premier Crus, Village wines etc., but where exactly does a “1st Cru” fit into all of this?

It is 1st on the label or 1er? I've not seen one with 1st, but I'm assuming it is a Premier Cru.
It could of been 1er and my mind just did it's own auto-correct. I assumed it was Premier, but thought i would ask. Thanks a lot for your help.
You're right it was 1er, my mind just must of switched it up to something more familiar. I was in Beaune and was tasting about 20 wines, so I plead fatigue from excessive enjoyment.
