I'm pretty certain Daniel is a ***Michelin in the newest report. I don't think owning more than one restaurant makes it a chain, in fact, I'm certain it doesn't. That said I keep hearing nothing but raves about Eleven Madison (also ***Michelin in the newest report) all from people I trust on this.

But really, when a steady girlfriend of mine has said, "I want to go to [place X] for my birthday," that is where we went. End of story. Even if my inclination were to raise an eyebrow, I would have willed that eyebrow not to raise.

As a business owner I know how quality suffers every time I’m not around so a chef with multiple locations.... Also, this is something I experience in Toronto more often than not so maybe that erodes my confidence.

As Daniel was my wife's suggestion, I'll probably take your advice although EMP looks very interesting Cool
