Best Corkage Fee

I recently dined took a client to dinner at a great local restaurant. It was my first time dining there and I am always one for scanning the wine list. The bottom of the list said, "Inquire for Corkage". This picqued my interest so of course I asked. Here's the policy...

Corkage: $25
Includes: Glasses for Party, Wine Service, Accessories as Appropriate (ie ice bucket, decanter), & a $25 Gift Certificate for next visit!

Basically, it's FREE if you return! I think this is brilliant. It inspires diners to return to the restaurant for what turned out to be very good cuisine.

This is my first post to the forums. I hope you all enjoyed! If any of you are familiar with Anchorage, AK this was kincaid Grille.

Welcome, Andy. I was in Alaska on a salmon fishing trip out of Aniak on the Kuskokwim and Salmon Rivers. We spent a couple of days in the Anchorage area sightseeing first. The Great Alaska Bush Company was an experience.

EXCELLENT!!!

We recently visited Spaghettini in Orange County, CA after researching their website as we found that on Sunday's, they ahve NO Corkage Fees....so we brought a large group and I brought six different wines. We still spent over $400, but were extremely impressed.

Also....food was GREAT!!!

I'd take the $25 gift certificate, buy a soda, tip the waiter a $5 bill, and keep the change
