Since there is a thread on whether wine is appropriate for football parties, let's talk about what are the best beers out there. My favorites are Negro Modelo, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and Pilsner Urquell.

I drink all of these beers and they're all good. I like just about everything from Stone, Lost Coast, Anderson Valley, Alesmith, and Sam Adams (when I'm not at a pub).

Haven't had Stone. No. Cal? And, I miss the great microbrews out there in your neck of the woods. Sigh.

Well, since the Seahacks finally stumbled out of the playoffs, I guess we'll be drinking Redhook's Ballard Bitter and looking forward to the commercials more than the game, once again.

I completely agree. (Well, Flemish beer can be really good and some Belgain-styled stuff like Allagash Tripel...) But it just feels wrong to drink that during the Superbowl, somehow.

For those who haven't tried:
Steelhead XPA is a must (mad river brewing co.)
Lagunitas IPA (or anything from lagunitas- ultra hoppy)

Oh I forgot, the land of the free that produces MGD, Bud, Schlitz,.... don't all those beers come with some warning about cancer of the anus if consumed in large amountsYou can slag us about our wine, but not our beer... remember the war of 1812...don't make us come down there again!
Anything by Unibroue is great
