So I know Belize is not known for it's vineyards, more for it's rum, but I'd like to get some recommendations for buying a condo on Ambergris Caye. I have visited San Pedro and loved the life there but I am looking for something a little more private than in town. I have narrowed it down to Sueno Del Mar or Lagoon Point. Does anyone know of a better development? Or suggestions for real estate in San Pedro? Thanks

Forget Ambergris Caye and look farther south around Placencia. Placencia is not near as touristy yet but it is beautiful. Or you can do the real smart thing and look at Panama.

I am doing this as an investment also. I've done my research. I plan to own the condo for 7 yrs before I sell and move to somewhere else fun. In Belize they speak English which is a bonus as no hablo espanol. Also the island is considered "caribbean" but has not caught up to how expensive it is. Real estate will go up though and I will make some money and then perhaps look into Panama : )
