Although the Etoh level of the Chien Lunitique(2001) has scared me in the past, a recent tasting revealed a balanced(to my surprise) sophisticated wine. Don't get me wrong, it was still very fruit forward and in your face. It did pair well with our dinner at Bucks T-4 in Big Sky, MT. I had this wine with the wild game meatloaf. Excellent pair for a great evening.
The Heavy Weight is also a bruiser as the name would indicate. We had this dinner paired with lamb at the Savory Olive in Bozeman. It was slow to open and a bit clumsy. It had finally started to open around the time dessert came. If you've got this wine, decant it early!
So I decided to get some Chien, Dixieme recolate(!?!), and Rudy's Cuvee. I've never has a wine from behrens I didn't like but sometimes they pack a lot of heat.

What kind of name is Poon anyway?
