I dont think i've seriously looked at bordeaux after the 2014 vintage and everything i used to drink is 5x?!

Are there just so many bdx lovers in the world nowadays that all of the 2-5th growth are all over 100$ a btl and we're relegated to drinking unclassified medocs instead?

very interesting article. There seems to be a disconnect? Prices have quadrupled on many BDX wines from 2014 to now, yet the winery owners are complaining that they aren't selling product? Our LCBO BDX futures seem to come pretty close to selling out annually here in Canada, and you rarely see any of the wines sold in BDX available for general sale within the stores. all pre-sold.  i think a key issue with French wines sold in other parts of the world (Canada) is that its quite complicated for people to "get into it" There is the futures aspect, prepaying, waiting 2-3 years sometimes..., 1,2,3,4,5 growth ect... the good to great French wines (even those 50-150$) don't hit the shelf for someone to be able to go and try them.
