looks like Florida will get hit some on Wednesday or so.

A hurricane forecast 5 or 6 days out is difficult, but I wouldn't make a tee time on the west coast for early Wednesday morning.
Good luck this week, to forumites and everyone else down there.
this looks quite bad for many parts of Florida. The hurricane will hit the coast probably as a category 4, and may cross the state in hurricane status. Yikes.
Thoughts for all the folks on the west coast of Florida who are about to get hammered. I hope they've heeded the warnings to evacuate.
It's rainy and blustery on the east coast of Florida, but not too bad. We've lost a tree in the side yard. Some traffic lights are out, and I did hit a squall that basically blinded me for a few minutes on the drive into work. The tornado alerts kept going off all night long on the iPhone.
All fine in Key West. Although supposed to just be a tropical storm the wobble made it closer to a Cat 1. We lost power from 10 last night to 11 this morning. Some downed trees, a lot of tree limbs and debris, flooding in the areas that tend to flood and unfortunately a fire at a strip center and 15 to 20 apartments above the shops. From what I hear total loss.
Safe here. Hardly any rain yesterday. This morning still have high winds. Tornado hit some condos Tuesday night, on two injured. One dead in Stuart found in water, but not known how he died
i have a buddy in sarasota and i told him he was damn crazy taking selfies with the winds blowing.
some of you floridians seem to enjoy a death wish.
It's going to be fun to watch our Governor do a 180 on federal assistance in disasters.

He wants/needs federal help. When money talks, no one criticizes its accent.
Just another snake in the grass.
What I see in the news is that insurance companies project payments in the $30-$40 billion range, with total damage being about $260 Billion. That means, to me, that $220 Billion is uninsured damage. That is a HUGE amount.
He does a 180 when ever it helps him. Even doing a 180 as not telling folks to leave Ft Myers until the day before Ian hit. Claims storm snuck up on him. BS It was a cat 3 on Sunday!
Lots of politicians do 180's. "Read my lips, no new taxes." "I will not send American boys 10,000 miles away to do what Asian boys should be doing." The list goes on.
On Sept. 1, President Biden gave a speech and said, "
...the Republican Party today is dominated, driven and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans. And that is a threat to this country."
On Sept 2, in answer to a question from a reporter, Biden said,
“.... I don’t consider any Trump supporter to be a threat to the country."
They change positions back and forth like windshield wipers.
My In-laws had 18 inches of water in their garage in Naples. FIL's GT AMG had water over the wheels and won't start. Suspect it's a total loss, but thank goodness nothing else was damaged other than some landscaping in the front yard.
Looks like the East Coast of Florida is finally going to get a storm. Hurricane warning just issued. Time to batten down the hatches.
Did you look at the Calendar Its NOVEMBER?
Looks like it is starting to move a bit further north of us?
Rothko
Looks like a target is on us.
Stay save at the shore line
heading towards Jupiter. Watch out, guys.
At last minute took a turn north. That was too close
Pretty much a non-event for us. Power stayed on. No trees down. A few roads with some flooding. Some major wave action and erosion at the beaches, I am sure.
good to hear. And, I'm sure folks farther south fared ok as well.
