I was very surprised to find a Classics catalogue waiting for me in today's mail. The catalogue is online here.

A couple of '05 Burgundies look interesting but I've got to review the catalogue more closely to figure out if I going to buy anything.

One odd thing I spotted; the 99 Palazzone Brunello is already at a couple of other stores. The Kingsway store where I first saw them is already sold out.

The '04 Clos Apalta has been on the shelves for a while. Seems they're still trying to clear stock at $96 when many places in the US are selling for less than $60 (US).

The high CDN$ don't seem to be lowering California wine prices for Ontarians. For example, the $149 FAR NIENTE CABERNET can be found in the US for about $90 (US).

No thanks.

Anyone had any experience with the Bullers?

I've had them both. These are re-releases from a previous catalogue, I think. they are both well worth the money, in fact I would happily pay more, but they are not in the class of the Museum Releases or other Yalumbas. But if you like Aussie stickies, you will want some, especially since we see so few of them here.

Anyone had any experience with the Bullers?

I bought 4 bottles of each when they were a In-Store Discovery in November 25/06 (same release as the Dead Arm), I liked the Tokay a little bit more than the Muscat. Both were outstanding IMO in the same style as the Chambers Rutherglen but smoother and richer. I preferred the Tokay because it had all the rich flaver but was lighter on the palate.

I swear that they were around 20 Cdn a bottle

Some chablis, that's it.
Steve, that sounds like an excellent call, however I am still a Chablis newbie. Are there any major stylistic differences between the Domaines Michel and Fevre that I should know before putting in my order?

TB, I haven't tasted enough of Louis Michel's wines to answer your question, but the couple I had were delicious. Fevre makes a pretty big Chablis, really good. Les Clos is a great wine, but I also really like Bougros and the LCBO price is $4 cheaper than the SAQ.
