This is a blend of the two vineyards ( Rincon is
TALLEY's Rincon Vineyard ). Nice, maturish pinot on the nose.( That is, not candied cherries and such. ) Still a deep burgundy color. Very well-extracted, flavors toward what I call the stewed tomatoe side of the pinot spectrum but what many refer to as earthy burgundian flavors. Fairly long after-taste, tannins are quite subdued. Nice pinot. I would consider this at peak or near peak, but could develop more secondary nuances later if the tannins are just hiding.

Same here for the Isabelle: 12 for one. I personally thought that the 94s were a tad below the 93s, for some reason, but I may have drank them too early. Anyhow, I had the 94 Isabelle two years ago, and I thought that the fruit was fading, unless you like the dried flowers type of tatse in old Burgundy. If so, it should be going great about now. My favorite Isabelles are, in order, 95, 94, 99, 97, 98. 96 was a dud. I seem to like the KNOX a little better.
