One of the internet forums that I occasionally visit is the Velo News Tech Talk Forum. Their policy on spam is as follows:
"SPAM is a huge problem on the Internet, mainly with private email. However, many online forums are plagued with this as well. Any messages posted that's SPAM will be removed and a warning will be issued to the user. If the user posts another SPAM message after an issued warning, they will be banned. Don't let this discourage you from posting links to other webpages. We can very easily tell the difference from a legitimate message and a sales pitch, so if you are a legitimate member you need not worry. "
Why can’t the WS Forums have a similar policy? Taylor? Meyerson? Buehler? Anyone?
