bman...are your still there?

Just thought I would check to see if your OK!

Your beloved Bruins blow a 3 games to 1 lead and bow to the Habs. Who da thunk it!
Eek
I feel for you buddy!
I'm thinking Mrs. bman had to hide all sharp objects in the house after that final loss...

I guess you can cheer your local Team now Wink

I've never been a Buds fan, I'm hoping the Sens finally break the Leafs curse...but my hockey sense says the Leafs will prevail...even without Sundin.

vinaigre
I anticipate the Habs - Lightning series will be very entertaining... two extremely quick-fast skating Teams with good goalies in both ends.

Being out West...I was dissappointed that the Canucks and Flames had to meet in the first round, I like both Teams. The hardest working Team won (Calgary) in my opinion.

Dom
re/ Sharks and Avs...I'm waiting for tlily and Vitis to make a bet...

Since I was born and raised in Boston and Chicago does not even have a NHL team. I was crushed when the f!!&&## Bruins collapsed again. I believe the B's are now 7-23 in series against the Canadiens.

Pathetic Mad

Patriots' Day in Boston was a good view of sports in Boston at this point in time. The Red Sox win a series from the Yankees, they are on the rise. The marathon is won by some Kenyans - same as usual. The Patriots creatively use a 2nd round pick to get a very productive running back, they just keep getting better. The Bruins get sacked, they need to re-think their approach. Finally, no one really cares about the Celtics they barely make the playoffs and are now fodder for the Larry Bird/Rick Carlisle Pacers.

I can't believe you could post so soon after the miracle last night!!! I would still be in shock if I was a Habs fan Wink Big Grin

What's so shocking? Wink
- That the Habs have beaten the Bruins 23 times out of the 30 times they've faced each other?
- That the Habs outplayed Boston in games 2 and 4 but still lost them?
- That the Habs will get farther into the playoffs that the high-priced Laffs... sorry I mean Leafs?
Duojet

I was -2 (as in not born!) years old the last time the Leafs won the cup. At least you have seen success in Montreal in recent memory as opposed to year after year of miserable failure.

Remember Harold Ballard??? The Corson for Kordic trade??? Peter Ing in net??? Need I go on???

Leaf fans have to be cocky... when we lose we can always make an excuse to explain our failure. We do this year after year and are very good at it!

E.g. If Toronto loses tonight I will blame it on Sundin and Nolan being out and the obvious fact that Francais and Molgilny are hiding injuries Wink Big Grin You can quote me on that!

Go Leafs Go!!!

Baird,

I forget that Leafs can be a sensitive bunch (note that I didn't say whiny!)

There's nothing that would appeal to me more than a conference final matching the Habs vs. the Leafs.

BTW.. Kordic was traded for Russ Courtnall.

I once had a glass of wine, and haven't stopped since...
Steve8, a bruins fan? Are you kidding me? Did you have any friends growing up? You seemed so normal when I met you, I guess first impressions can be deceiving.

Bman- shame on you too for rooting for the B's.

What jubilation to see that amazing comeback from a 3-1 game deficit!

Go habs go.

Yes, but I came here for an argument.

Oh! Oh! I'm sorry, this is abuse.
Since grossie did not take me to task for saying that Chicago has no NHL team he must therefore agree that the Blackhawks are at best an IHL team. I think that perhaps in a 7 game series the Wolves might prevail! Big Grin

Steve8 I honestly thought that Sinden had died or at least moved on! Perhaps that is the Bruins curse that he never dies. Eek

Those front runners that cheer for the Canadiens are the same meatheads that jump the Yankees band wagon each year.

Chitown- I will have you know that I have rooted for the Blackhawks once in a while only because I have apopted Chicago as my home. I think the Blackhawks could be the worst professional oganization in professional sports, starting from the top with Mr. Wirtz. I think the Expos are a better organization because at least they value their farm teams. (they have other problems, too numerous for this discussion).

Many of the members here are aware of the fact that I am a native Montrealer, born and raised on the Habs. So, if that bandwagon comment was meant for me, think again. I have every right to cheer for mes habitants. It's the craphawks that I'll cheer for on the bandwagon, and that wagon had the wheels fall off a long time ago.

Of course my heart is broken, but of course I am used to it after 35 years as a Bruins fan. A true fan does not abandon his team even when they find yet another way to lose to the Hated Habs.

My only interest in the Sens is that my wife and daughter are fans, and now everyone in town will be grumpy tomorrow, and for the rest of the week/month/year. Well, not everyone since many of those who were Toronto or Montreal fans before the Sens existed have remained loyal.

For the record, I also continue to be a Pistons, Tigers and Lions fan. Also the English football and cricket teams

Now you know all my sports secrets....

Bruins rule! (please!!!!)
